- Joint Commission Resources publishes a variety of accreditation related publications and manuals. If interested, these can be purchased directly at www.jcrinc.com.
- Joint Commission has published frequently asked questions about standards and patient safety goals on their web site at www.jointcommission.org.
- CIHQ has created a summary of the Joint Commission standards for acute care hospitals for review. Click here to download the summary.
Center for Medicare Services
- The CMS Conditions of Participation for Acute Care Hospitals – Appendix A (Interpretive Guidelines) contains all of the information necessary to prepare for exam questions in this area. You can obtain a PDF download at www.cms.hhs.gov.
